Abstract:

PT. SSR is a company engaged in infrastructure and production based on orders. Its main
product is a mixture of hot asphalt. One company's machine is a machine used Asphalt Mixing
Plant (AMP). AMP machines are production machines which produce a mixture of hot asphalt.
AMP engine consists of various components that are vital, so that if one component is damaged, it
will cause the system fails to perform its functions.
The purpose of this study is to determine the optimal preventive maintenance time,
minimize the cost of maintenance and repair of engine components, determine the optimal number
of reserve component, and determine the chances of a successful engine in its mission to meet
production targets.
The results obtained for the bearing components (2221 C3K "NSK"), namely the
increasing span of preventive maintenance (Tpm), then the resulting system uptime while
decreasing system downtime resulting fixed / constant and the cost per unit of time is increasing.
The increasing number of reserve component (n), then the resulting system uptime while
increasing system downtime resulting fixed / constant and the cost per unit of time is decreasing.
Preventive maintenance time, based on the age of the optimal replacement of engine components
is 105.88 hours. Reserves the optimal number of components, so that the expected cost per unit of
time is a minimum of 4 units. Increasingly short time span of preventive care and the increasing
number of reserve component, then the chances of success in its mission systems to achieve the
production target will increase.
