Abstract:

Landscape of research area can be devided into five geomorphic units, they are hilly steeply topography, moderately steeply topography, homokline topography, fault scarps and flat topography. The difference of geomorphic unit is strongly influenced by the difference of lithology, intensity of developing geology structure.The lithology of research area consists of andesitic breccia, pumice brekccia, young volcanic sandstone and alluvial. The intencity of geological structure that accurred are dextral fault, normal fault, fracture and homoklin that develop intensively.
The result of analysis of linier regression graphic shows that there is a correlation between physical properties and the distance of taking rock sample from bottom up. The physical properties is influenced by the composition of rock such as precentege, roundness and diameters of fragments. Based on rock composition and the intencity of geological structure as a correction factor, the researche area can be devided into three minning areas, They are Piyungan district belongs to the use first quality, Imogiri district belongs to the use second quality and Pleret district belongs to the use third quality.
