Abstract:

AHBC (asymmetric half-bridge converter) is a power supply that is required to drive the SRM (switched reluctance motor). Before making the actual power supply device, it is necessary to make model to know it behavior and understanding the interaction between the converter with the motor. In this research, AHBC modeled with PSIM software to known it performance. The measured variables are the on angle and the pulse angle. The on angle is the angle to produce a forward rotation, the magnitude of 900. The pulse angle is the angle to produce the desired rotation and torque, the magnitude of 00-1200. The on angle and the pulse angle inserted into the controller circuit to turn on and turn off the AHBC circuit that supply voltage source to the stator coil. The same pulse angle (the pulse1 angle = the pulse2 angle) produces rotation, minimum torque, voltage, inductance, and flux linked which are greater than the different pulse angle. The different pulse angle (the pulse1 angle ≠ the pulse2 angle) produces motor current and semiconductor losses which are greater than the same pulse angle. The same pulse angle produces maximum torque which is almost similar with the different pulse angle (1,213 Nm and 1,216 Nm).
