Abstract:

Kerosene to LPG is a government program that aims to reduce fuel subsidies, by diverting the use of kerosene to LPG. The objective analysis to determine the process of making gas cylinders, deep drawing process and a good welding methods. Because there are still many people who are afraid to use the LPG fuel for fear of exploding due to the lack of good quality. Deep Drawing or commonly called the drawing is one type of metal forming process, which generally form a cylinder shape and always have a certain depth. In the LPG cylinder manufacturing process to design a metal forming process, such as withdrawals (drawings). One of the jobs we have to do is to determine or choose the engine capacity (energy, force, torque) and tools and equipment to be used for that process. In the process of deep drawing press with predetermined speed (according to table) press power should not exceed the maximum: 167.330 kg. In circum welding process, the normal stress reaches 61.16 kg/cm2, because it is still above hidrostastik endurance test, it is still within safe limits.
